Hey, I think you're super!1

Hi, my name is Kanatka - it's pronounced Ka-not-ka, it means "little feather". I'm part Cherokee from the Bird Clan. As a survivor - my story goes deep. I kept silent for 40 years to protect the people I loved, only to be shunned by them when I told the truth. Now, almost 50, I'd like to start living a real life. Can we really hit "Click" and begin again?

Hello, my name is [NAME HERE]!

Kanatka,
So nice to meet you. What a beautiful little baby you hold :o)

It is exciting meeting new members. I look forward to seeing you about the site. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions (especially ones about discovering all the ins and outs of moving around the pages).

Thank you for sharing your story here. I am grateful of your trust. I still am struggling some with the silent mode to protect some family members , but I am beginning to ask "what is it doing to me". Holding onto this secret (out of shame and protection) for forty years myself has taken its toll. I, too, am ready to 'start living a real life' as you say. You also ask, "can we really hit 'click' and begin again?". Well, for me, I hit 'click' (figuratively) and 'changed tracks'. I reached a point where I allowed myself support and guidance instead of struggling forward in my solitude; and I am practicing walking down a road of authenticity (throwing off the masks; discovering what I need to heal).

I wish you luck and peace as you travel your chosen path. Hope you keep the pictures of that bundle of joy coming! ;o)
